ORIgenVerified is a Breeder to Breeder Genetic Service
designed to add value and marketability to feeder cattle
that derive from the influence of ORIgen seedstock
producers that work through ORIgen, Inc. Cow/calf
producers who purchase genetics (live bulls or semen)
from ORIgen Seedstock Partners (www.origenbeef.org)
qualify for marketing support through ORIgenVerified.
These producers work through their seedstock suppliers
to qualify their cattle for ORIgenVerified to access
premium markets and buyers. ORIgenVerified is a breeder
to breeder genetic service that creates demand and
pull-through for ORIgen Seedstock Partners genetics to
add value to their customers’ cattle while linking them
with the industry.
What is ORIgenVerified? A co-marketing
partnership was created between ORIgen, Inc and IMI
Global to offer the seedstock and commercial sectors the
opportunity, using IMI’s USDA Process Verified (PVP)
supplier evaluation program, USVerified- Supply
Verified, to achieve source and age verification
approval. Many companies are certifying producers under
their own umbrella consequently limiting producers to
only selling cattle into that specific system. In
addition, some companies require producers to purchase
products. ORIgenVerified is designed to work within any
marketing system, alliance or program giving the
cow/calf producer the independent strength for price
discovery. The main purpose of ORIgenVerified is to
ensure the independence of cow/calf producers and to
never limit any marketing possibilities a producer
chooses to select, only to assist in creating value. The
only requirement is to work through your seedstock
provider or ORIgen, Inc.
Demand ORIgenVerified. Packers and feeders
that supply QSA (www.ams.usda.gov/lsg/arc/qsap.htm)
and/or PVP (www.processverified.usda.gov/)
beef programs are in a scurry to find quality cattle
that are certified through a USDA QSA or PVP system. The
market demands that source and age verified cattle must
come from a USDA audited system to ensure accurate
marketing claims domestically and for exports (Japan
requires a PVP or QSA). ORIgen, Inc will be marketing
ORIgenVerified cattle to feedlots, packers, brand beef
programs, exporters and many others to create demand for
the cow/calf producers’ cattle that are linked to
quality genetics. The goal is to match buyers and
sellers to create value to the ORIgen genetics producers
use.
How to become ORIgenVerified. Contact your
seedstock supplier or ORIgen, Inc. The cost of
ORIgenVerified is $150/herd/year regardless of head
count. If working through an ORIgen Seedstock Partner
the ranch will receive a rebate. The producer has the
freedom to choose the method of cattle ID. Brands do
work! A Program Compliant tag (a controlled EID
allocated by IMI) is required if cattle are sold through
a non- USDA QSA or PVP approved location. Once
certified, the ranch is listed on IMI’s approved
supplier list at
www.usverified.com to confirm certification to
buyers and to give the ranch market exposure. ORIgen
will also list the producer on their website. The
certification is valid for one year.

ORIgen,
Inc is proud to announce its 2006 Sponsorship of the
Certified Angus Beef, LLC (CAB) National Angus Carcass
Challenge.
The
National Angus Carcass Challenge rewards Angus cattlemen
over $20,000 cash and awards with national and regional
recognition for producing Angus cattle with superior
carcass merit.
Angus cattlemen enroll their cattle in
the contest at any of the CAB Licensed Feedlots (www.cabfeedlots.com).
Retained ownership or not, cattlemen can work with the
CAB Feedlot their cattle are being fed and get their
cattle enrolled.
As an ORIgen, Inc Breeder to Breeder
Genetic Service, any progeny (live bulls and/or semen)
derived from an ORIgen Seedstock Partner (www.origenbeef.com)
is eligible for additional awards for being a valued
ORIgen, Inc customer. Any producer who purchases ORIgen,
Inc semen (www.origenbeef.com)
and/or bulls from an ORIgen Seedstock Partner is
eligible for additional ORIgen awards.
ORIgen, Inc will reward top ranking
ORIgen Seedstock Partner progeny CREDIT towards any
ORIgen Seedstock Partner genetics from semen. ORIgen

Directory and/or on
